So went to the Ft. Lauderdale Boat show to see whats new. Bumped into MM and found out they are no longer Dealing With scarabs, yet they will still service them. After some searching, I found Scarab boats, Being Represented by Riva Yamaha! After some bitching to the Scarab Rep about all my issues with the boat, he began to explain they are pulling the line from MM due to them being unfit to service the Scarab boats. Riva Yamaha has been in the Jet boat game a long time and he assured and advise me they would do a way better job at serving my boat. After apologizing about all the issues, we exchanged info and will hopefully help me get out of my current boat once I finally get it back from MM. I home this new marriage will benefit us all. Unfortunately, they are only working with Riva Miami and Key Largo at the moment and working on Broward Motorsports.

I don't think MM is unfit to service the boats. After 1 1/2 yrs and 74 hrs total I have had them replace, (2 drive shafts, an entire pump system, replaced motor, 3 carbon rings, instrument cluster, each speaker at least 3 times, Stereo, trailer jack, 2 batteries, bildge pump, 4 [02 sensors], nav light switch, set switch, horn button)I conclude MM may have told them to piss off.
Speaking with my MM guys they have theirboats constantly rotate through the shop. If I was a dealer I couldn't sell this boat and sleep at night.
I bought mine from Riva too. Maybe they can do something for me.

Oh and I baaaabeeeeee my boat. It is immaculately well cared for. It stays indoors, A/C 'ed facility. Except for the 6 or 7 months it has been in the shop. FYI

I'm not saying MM is horrible in anyway, I personally get along with them. I just know the ones by me act as if I'm a burden sometimes along with the rest of the scarab boats. They Deal mainly in Big Yachts with big money. I think they "lost" my boat twice while having it on the side lines for several months. To the point I Physically drove 1 1/2 to there facility and walked around till we found it. I was explained Most MM only have 1 Certified Scarab Mechanic per store.

MM Pensacola only has one BRP tech and @Elio195HOI you are right, they make more $$ with the bigger boats. I waited over three weeks for an oil change... I should have done it myself, but they told me it was a 25 hour warranty checkup.

Im hoping I can get outta this thing before the next season rolls around.

My exact plans. I spoke to a few reps from different manufactures and they all advised to sell the boat on the west coast or mid to Northern Florida.

Well I contacted MarineMax, Clearwater my dealer which has taken good care of me, not the one I purchased it from and was told that once they sell what they have on the show room floor they will not order any more. They will take care of there customers but will not carry the Scarab line. I was told that it is purely financial. not enough profit to make sense, and take care of the customers that own them. As far as the size of boat goes they sell Boston Whaler, as small as 14'. I have contacted Scarab Boats as to why, and have not got a response from them. I love my boat and after changing dealers I have not had a problem, warranty or otherwise. I hope that it stays that way.

Im sure at the end of the day MM is tired of all the warranty Work. After 2 months I just got a call yesterday saying the boat should be ready by tomorrow with a price tag of 8k in warranty work.

I "was" feeling good about getting the boat back. They completely missed items to be addressed and lied saying it was fixed, The trailer that was just completely redone is already peeling, yet its not covered under warranty since its was a 3rd party fix.... Not sure what was done to the steering and throttle but it jams up when turning and the throttle is so hard to maneuver back and forth. Contacted Scarab to advise who can get this thing done properly without the 4 hour round trip.

Man, so sorry to hear that @Elio195HOI Hopefully Scarab has a better solution for you. I feel for you.

I would love what mine has cost to fix over the year and a half.
