I had the boat out today in the river put it in no wake mode and when I went to turn it off the port side motor stayed in no wake only got it to go away by speeding up then the other issue that started was cruise control on the port side wasn’t working either only worked on the starboard side

The only thing I can think of to consider is that your starboard throttle went to neutral and your port throttle stayed in the indent before reaching neutral. In that case, the only way to get it out of no wake mode is to speed up beyond the maximum no wake mode speed, put it in neutral or turn the engines off. Regarding cruise control, I believe you have to be going a certain minimum rpm before you can engage it. At least that’s the case with older boats. Perhaps your port side was not at that level yet? Could also be a faulty tachometer issue. These are all assumptions on my part. Just trying to help you troubleshoot.

Thanks for the info since I’m new to owning a jet boat and don’t know a whole about them

Next time you go out, check out the rpm’s for each engine when the throttles are at the same place. They may need to be adjusted.

That vintage Cruise assist and no wake is a bit finicky.

When using no wake, yes, to get out of it, you either need to back it off, by pressing down on the dash button, or accelerate beyond the no wake setting to disable it. Going to neutral will only change the buckets.

And as far as not setting cruise on one side, I have seen that as well in the past. No rhyme or reason, but the issue only rears it's ugly head once or twice a season. But never enough times to go and truly troubleshoot it. Most of the time, it works flawlessly.

Good luck,

Okay thanks I hope it was just a glitch I’ll find out this weekend

I have the same boat, I think that the rpm’s at the fastest no wake mode is around 1900. Get both motors up to 2100 plus rpm’s and it should override and shut off the no wake mode. FYI, it is virtually impossible to drive that boat in a fairly straight line in any of the no wake mode settings!

Took the boat out this weekend wake mode and cruise worked fine this time out

It does take practice. Last year I discovered that doing out putt putt around the lake that 2000 RPM's was perfect speed and noise level. But I could never hit that RPM rate manually. And totally gapped no wake mode.

Now, once backed off the lift, I take it right up to 2000 RPM no wake mode and it's perfect every time. I can't believe I have owned this boat this long and didn't use it that way. As far as steering, it took some practice. But this is exactly where fins shine. (or drag an anchor off the center cleat) smile.
