Virtually every year I have to replace at least one of the 4 O2 sensors. I always use Yamaha genuine parts (6DE-8592A-00-00) and it seems they just fail. What are opinions about using other manufacturers?

Looking at using an after market one from JSProxam that is about 1/2 the cost and I can get a discount for buying extra.

Figure if it lasts a year I’ll save money. If it lasts longer I’m ahead of the game, if not then I just got back to Yamaha.

wow, that seems like bad luck, I hardly remember members talk about having to replace them and certainly not multiple,

maybe it's just something people don't talk about but I wonder if you have something else going on causing them to fail ????

I have taken it to three different dealers and they all just say there are bad O2 sensors all the time. Dan, a mechanic and member here, said it is so common that good mechanics buy them in bulk and test them before installation.
