Hello,

Moms and I are checking on a blue AR250, galvanized Shoreliner, dealer 1 emailed $61,400 + taxes and registration.
No extras, an extended warranty may be approx + $2,500. Free factory wrapped winter outdoor storage on dealer lot included.
Dealer #2 $61,650 snap including snap canvas cover, Coast Guard Kit, painted trailer and $249 doc fee. Extended warranty add $3,000.
Dealer #3 $64,500 painted trailer, cover add $925, indoor winter storage.
Please don’t include taxes, registration etc, it muddies the info.
Also, I‘ll include dealer info positive and otherwise once I commit. Right now I have 4 dealers within 4 hours. If you do the same it will help the team. ALL dealers told me the same thing, there will be no showroom inventory, all sales will be pre orders. The s*** or get off the pot drop dead date to boat in Springtime seems to be order by November.

CHEERS,
your friend rick
#1 $61,400 Bayside Jet Drive Rehobeth the owner is fantastic, hard to blow him off. Just logistics.
#2 $61,640 Toms River, sales manager was tremendous
#3 $65,425 Full Performance Raystown Lake, sales guy super cool
#4 $61,400 w galvanized trailer (Patsys) this is where I’m buying an AR250 if I decide it’s the right boat for us.
Jim is a straight shooter, I trust him.
#5 Hi way marine Q town $63,895 including approx $2500 freight/prep BUMMER free coast guard box, 4 vests etc

So far I guess dealer #1 is winning? Seems fair they are only adding $500 to MSRP for the upgraded trailer and no added prep or freight fees. Is the upgraded trailer surge or electric brakes?

275sd. Will be basically msrp but no freight or prep. Msrp, tax and reg. Unfortunately the trailer doesnt come with the 275. Yamaha wants almost 10k for their trailer. Got the dealer to order me an aluminum load right for half that

The white shipping cover should be given to every new boat owner, so don't let them make it sound like a perk.

Understood, we were just being “contract” specific. He’s basically saying nobody will sit on my new boat.

Dealer #2 just checked in.

@ourlee They are pricing you without Dealer Prep and Shipping/Destination? They are eating those? What are the dealer names, I am sure a lot of members here would very interested in that. That is a $3k give or take savings that most dealers are not doing.

Until I commit to buying one, I’m not disclosing the dealers, BUT my zip code is 07843 and each dealer is within a 4 hour drive :)

#3 is hitting me with $3500 prep.
#2 added prep ($2600) in his breakdown then offset with a discount ($4244)
#1 came right out and said we don’t charge prep, never have.
I‘m really reconsidering the AR250 cause the rear seats don’t move.
#4 update: I had a really nice chat with dealer 4 a day before the reveal (the most local) and told him I’ll bring my deals to him and give him a chance to yes or no. It’s a family shop and service would be the very best. He also was honest about putting me in the back of the service line if I bought from someone else. If I do buy from him:
”your cup holder breaks, I’ll show up at your slip after work and slap in a new one, you’ll never know I was there” he told me. I believe him. And I dig it.

Well that puts you in range of the dealer where i put my order in. South jersey....way south?

Where the ocean to the boardwalk is 5 football fields? No :) :)

In areas that have more than 2-3 dealers as a choice I find it hard to believe ANY dealer would walk away from a little discount on an ordered until....unless Yamaha has limited them on how many they can order....

Its just an extra revenue line for them over and above what they usually project to order and sell (and the more units they sell the more attention/better attention they get from Yamaha for warranty claims/etc.)

Yet strongest seller market in years, so maybe not.

Just a heads up I have dealt with the "dealer near ocean city" and had a very bad experience.

I'm not a fan of the Toms River one, either.

Highway Marine in PA and Patsy's Bay above NYC are fantastic people to work with. I bought from Patsy's Bay, and had some significant repairs done at Highway Marine. Both really nice people, excellent service, and everything was done on time as promised. The two Jersey Shore locations were atrocious to deal with.

mine is wildwood. so far they have been great to deal with. sales guy is super nice.

the one stealth is referring to is all action power sports. i have never heard a single good thing about them and i know alot of people that have dealt with them with either boats or motorcycles so i didnt even bother. for me it was either wildwood or toms river. my buddy bought his boat from wildwood and had nothing but good to say so that was where i went.

I didn't want this to be my first post but had to check in. I'm currently getting quotes and TR is playing games. Charging over MSRP and then throwing on a discount. Also changing quote items like covers and accessories to do slight of hand. I don't get the nice new boat feeling from them, more like BOHICA.

I'm waiting on responses from Highway and Patsy's.

Jim at Patsys is such a great guy. I’m buying from him. Where do you boat?

I like the AR250 price/value but wasnt feeling the graphics (especially the green on the black).

I think I’ve found my new boat:
