Hi, I just got a new 2016 SX192, and I'm planning on doing the break-in oil change sometime soon. I'm having trouble finding much information for the oil change online, I'm always referred to the service manual (that I don't want to waste the money on).

What is the model number for the Yamaha recommended oil filter?

Do you just use the Yamalube 10W-40 oil?

Where is the cheapest place to buy? Online (link)?

Thanks!

I just bought the yamaha oil change kit, comes with everything you need!!

2014 Ar190 and I use K&N filter Part number HP-1002 and Shell Rotella T6. Your 2016 should use the same filter, I dont think the filter changed.

I got my plugs from sixityauto I believe, cheaper than anywhere else I could find them. Showed up a few days after the order was placed. :)

Got my plugs at rockauto.com and used k&n 1002 because of how easy they are to get on and off with socket. I have always used European Castrol Synthetic 0w40 in Bmw and Audi. So I just did 1st oil change using the Castrol in my 16 Ar 192.. Love the German oil..My 06 4runner has had the oil all ten years I have owned it. Runs perfect! Best of luck!

I didn't change my plugs at the ten hour service, not sure if the S/C are different but check. A simple strap oil filter wrench and puppy pads underneath to catch the spillage works a treat. Don't forget the int bearing, just over an oz of grease needed.
