Has anyone tried Hot Shots fr3 ? Dyno proven horsepower gains increase of lubrication properties of 43% penetrating friction reducer and a normal 5% increase in fuel economy . Most diesel people swear by HotShots products.

No one at all hello McFly everyone here trying to get more power out of their Motors by doing labor intensive stuff this seems like something could be easy and cheap . Friction and Heat the number one reason to lose horsepower.

No I wanted to try some ordered some for my trucks

I've heard of several products claiming performance like this lately. Assuming it’s not snake oil I think it’s a great idea.

It would be nice to see some real-life test results.

I have read good things about Gas-Shock, but it is not available locally as far as I can tell.
Most of these things are a waste of money if you are using a top tier fuel with detergents.
The problem with oil additives is that adding things to the oil disturbs the carefully crafted additive package the ol manufacturers have included.
The new oils are the best ever and screwing with them is probably a bad idea.
The only major oil company that sells additives I know of is LubroMolly (a German company) that sells an additive that I would assume is compatible with their additive package.
Quaker State makes Slick 50 and oddly they do not suggest adding additives to their own motor oil.
Tests have shown that Slick 50 did make some improvement in friction losses and fuel economy, but had higher pressure drop across the filter and had higher Iron on oil samples.

I have used the Lubro-molly (Molybdenum disulfide, known as Moly or MoS2, has long been used as a friction reduction additive in personal and commercial vehicle engines and drivetrains.) and it may add some protection, but it is hard to prove.

If you operate a fleet of trucks treat half of them and not the other half and let us know.

Many new oils have additive packages that clean off their old coatings and replace it with their new and with these oils the oil change interval should reflect this as the latter part of the cycle builds up the new protective layer after removing the old. and you may be doing the oi a disservice by changing it too soon

You'd likely be better off making sure your hull stays clean and waxed if you're wanting best efficiency. Also if you remove the tons of warning stickers they are worth .1 hp each easily :D

Dyno runs two of the same trucks five base line runs each , the one with the additive gained 8 hp not bad if true. If you know heat soak is number one hp killer ,If you reduce fiction, less heat equals more hp you don't loose .if I can get longer life out of my engine that's all I need . Some people sent oil in to get analyzed before and after using product for a while and had less trace metal amounts in oil . Some were regular trucks some were semi trucks with high miles . Like I said don't know just read this on different web forums.

The heat from friction isn't even 1/100th of a percent compared to the explosions. Egt on these could be 1400f easy.
I could do 5 baseline pulls right after strapping the vehicle after a long hot drive and get my "stock" hp. Spend 30min to an hour while fans are going on an open hood while sprinkling fairy dust in the intake, then do 5 more pulls to prove the fairy dust makes 8-15hp. Unless they publish data logs with timing map/maf, ect and iat I'll call bs every time for low gain claims. I wrote this a while back when dyno testing an intake on my jeep with 18 pulls and statistical analysis.

I made 30hp by sticking a bag of ice on a blower for 15 minutes because the customer wanted 600+.
After years posting on car forums, this is the only forum I regularly post on. It's got a nice group of people, and a smooth phone interface. Most of all its not full of idiots posting crap.

Thank you!
Hopefully, this will do. LOL.

Some people missing the point if I can get get longer life out of my motor it's worth a try and I also don't like people on forums with all their crap, but I have personally seen their products work on diesel trucks make injectors work again at otherwise would have had to been rebuilt or replaced I'm not saying the stuff is going to work . But all their other products do work. Sorry I don't have my PhD in knowing everything like half the people on here because there's definitely some smart people on this forum. I know you can't get so much out of these boats there a boat with a little jet ski motor in them . But they're still badass Machines

You don't need to have a Ph.D. to know you're not going to get 8 hp from an oil additive :D

If you want to try it just buy it. Personally I think it's a waste of money as I'm a skeptic of any product with the words "Secret formula". It's probably made from the ores of unobtainium deep in the forests of dreams.

Here is a link to an expensive German additive and the announcer has a British accent so you HAVE to believe!
By the way The company makes premium oils and additives and sells both.
Most oil companies do not sell under the same name and they do, if that means anything.

Moral:

This mail could have come from absolutely anybody masquerading as the sender, could have been read quite legally by the State under the RIP legislation, by the security services of any other state through which the data passes, by the sender's or receiver's employer on the pretext of protection of business interests, and read or altered by anybody working at any of the infrastructure services involved in its transmission. Given that internet routing is complex and adaptive, you don't even know who most of these parties are. Why not use encryption next time?

If you get 8hp and 10% longer engine life per bottle, you should add ten bottles! 80hp and double engine life! That's proven results! If you buy from the vendor with the highest price you get the fresh stuff too. Remember that additives "stack" so throw in a couple slick 50s and some seafoam. You'll be pushing 1000hp before you know it.

What if I put the product stickers on the side of boat too, how much more horsepower will I get then? And a black ice Christmas tree air freshener hanging from my mirror

As I mentioned earlier you'll get approximately .1 hp each for stickers, so go crazy for maximum output! If you vinyl wrap it with a sponsor then I think you'll need to add a wing to keep that boat on the water. It may not even be legal to have it on small lakes due to all the power it would have. You'll probably need to upgrade to a 160mm jet pump just to harness the thrust or you'll likely blow out the back of your boat!!

My t top is kind of like a wing shakes like hell sometimes I think it's going to rip off the deck think I might build some bracing underneath I think if I add any more weight I'll be able to go full Throttle and it'll be perfect surf speed

You MUST be careful, not only do you get all of that extra power, but you have to do something to keep from blowing out the gas tank, maybe fill the ballast tanks until they over flow and then fill the pull behind tubes too,.
So much to take into account.
Too much and you might have to figure out what to do with the extra engine generated from the anti-wear additives part

Remember.. when placing the stickers make sure the letters are leaning backwards if u want speed... lean the letters forward if u want you boat to handle better! Its dyno proven!!
