Any issue with leaving the trickle charger (marinerPro for example) attached to the battery all the time whether attached to power or not?

You mean pro mariner? If so it’s a smart charger so a bit more than your average old school trickle charger, but yes it’s designed to be pugged in when the boat is not in use. It will go into maintain mode and keep the batteries in great shape.

From their site : “Fully automatic multi-stage charging enhances battery performance with 5 sequential stages: Analyzing, Charging, Conditioning, Auto Maintain (Energy Saver) and a once a month storage recondition mode that’s safe for short and long term storage.”

To quote your post, whether plugged into power or not, yes, that’s fine. In fact, a thru-hull outlet with rub cap on the outside makes it super convenient. So if on a lift, or on a trailer, you can just pop the cap and plug the boat in at night. Don’t bother with cover, cushions or crawling into the boat. Just plug it in. And as stated above, it will maintain your batteries no matter the condition

Good luck!
