So since I decided to buy a 24 foot boat instead of the intended 21 and now I am not able to store my boat in my garage like the original plan for the 21 footer. What are you guys that are storing outside doing to keep your boat in good shape? I have the Yamaha mooring cover and try to get the cover on after each use. I haven’t covered it overnight twice since it rained on the way home and the boat was soaked inside. I assume it is best to let it dry out before covering? Should I keep a small fan running under the cover? Any other advice?
I want to get a carport soon but I have to wait a until spring due to some new asphalt issues I’m having with my recently resurfaced driveway.

I bought some cheap shade sails on amazon and put them over the whole boat to protect the mooring cover from sun and keep the temperature inside it down a little. I use two and it's definitely a hassle since I couldn't find any big enough to just cover the whole thing.

I always let mine dry a few hours or overnight before covering it. I think a lot of people use those DampRid buckets inside to absorb moisture.

I also use the shade sails: a triangular one over the bow and a square one over the midship and stern. They protect from uv and allow the boat to dry out quickly after rain. They disintegrate in about a year, but I like them because they allow easy access to the boat. Shade sail boat covers
