Has anyone had any issues with overheating on the hose?? My alarm went off after about 5 mins on the hose.. turn it all off.. waiting 5 mins and cranked it.. and everything seemed fine , so I don’t think I had any damage or anything like that.. alarm did not come back. I was just wondering if that happens frequently while running the engine on a hose. Thanks y’all.

Forgot to mention, this was probably in 80 degree weather… before that I was able to run it on the hose for about 10 mins .. but it was about 50 degrees outside..

Kink in hose? Anyone inside taking a shower causing water pressure for that hose to be low?

I don’t think so.. but it’s possible the washer may have been on .. so it could be that

Small diameter hoses can be problematic.
Typically 1/2”, 5/8” and 3/4” at home.
Recommend purchasing a 3/4”

Remember: Engine on, hose on; hose off engine off.

You should not have a problem running on hose. I would limit rpms to no-wake mode.

@BigCountry You should not need a lot of pressure. I used to flush on 25 psi well water. That is more than enough.

Both of my lines were kinked behind/ under the flushout port connectors - i took a 1" piece of schedule 40 about 5" long and cut a slit longways inthe schedule 40, slid/forced the flushout hoses into and clamped the kink straight- works fine. Another hill-william Yamaha factory quality control issue shining through.

I had to bump my water pressure to 65-70 psi to get good flow out the pissers on my 192.

@Shir9406 .... the Yamaha overheat alarm is very fast to announce itself and very unlikely any harm was done. The overheat alarm went off one time at my Yamaha dealer with my 2018 SVHO FX Cruiser and once with my 2020 SX195. Both times it was due to reduced waterflow when a tech opened another hose to wash a boat and the water pressure in the hose feeding my units dropped a bit too low. Both times the dealer used their Yamaha software to delete the codes from my units. A small drop in water pressure , a kink in the hose anything can cause the alarm to announce - which IMO is a good thing.
