I dropped the boat in the water, fired it up ,and as I cruised away from the dock I noticed my Perfect Pass GPS was not picking up the satellite. As soon as we got to our destination and started filling ballast, I got on my back, reached up under the dash, and started unplugging and plugging the connectors in. Everything seemed snug. Fired the boat up again and now the GPS had locked in and was working. Anyone else have this issue with PP?

No problems with our PP. The only general GPS issue I can think of is if you are in an area where your PP can't see enough satellites, like a channel with tall hills or mountains on both sides.

Lake Zumbro does have tall hills that shelter the river, but I've been in this spot over 2 dozen times without any problem. Hopefully it was just a loose wire that didn't seem loose to me and is fixed.

Could be. Don't you just hate intermittent problems. They drive me crazy.

I did have my gps antanea fail a few seasons ago. It failed during a ski run. I was watching the gauge, it was showing that the speed was dropping from its set speed to 0 mph as the boat was accelerating faster and faster. The Max speed was limited by the position that the throttles were set to which got way too fast for the rider.

I called the guys at perfect pass and they were able to diagnose the issue within a few minutes. Then they over nighted a new one to me while on vacation. So I only had to go one day without pp.

When in doubt. Call them. Their customer service is awesome.

I've had a couple "pucks" (antenna) go bad over the years. The best diag is what you did, replug and power cycle.
