Good morning everyone!

Picking a slip today, curious if anyone has any input on location. I assume the closer to the lot the better for less walking. Slip 1 is available on Marina 2.

Curious if I'm overthinking this or to snag it! I feel like this is a silly question but I just don't know why those easy access slips would be open bs the middle ones

If there is a side/spot that is sheltered from wind/current/chop it would make it easier to maneuver in and around the docks. I’m guessing that the slips closest to the shore would provide some additional protection as well but there are plenty of folks around here that can provide better info than me - I dry stack my boat.

So, I just went and looked at all the slips. Im glad I didnt get the #1 spot. Issue that I could see with the ones closest to the main walkway is that there is basically no room. I mean, Its only a minor inconvenience but if you have a choice, might as well go with one that gives a lot of room and is easy to access leaving and coming back.

In our marina I chose a west side slip due to prevailing winds pushing the boat away from the docks instead of pushing it into the docks. Plus i can pull the vehicle right up to the dock and load/unload things.

Smart move. I just picked a spot and it is surrounded by structure. Wind break.
