Hi everyone. I have a 2022 Yamaha 212S with 70 hrs on it. Last week, my port side engine would not start. Starboard side fires up as it should but nothing from the port side. When I turn the key, no clicks or anything. My kill switch key is in tight, my clean out hatch is secured, my batteries are on and charged but nothing and both levers are in neutral. I have an appointment to bring it in the the dealer to get it looked at and have an extended warranty but I just don't want to be without my boat for the next few weeks. Any ideas what this could be?

Had this happen to me one time. long story short deadman switch was right at its sweet point on locking out one engine. I would assume both engines would not start with the switch activated, but thats not the case. Physically hold the switch out with your hand and try the engine.

I would take a piece of cardboard or something and place on top of the cleanout hatch killswitch before closing the lid and see of that makes a difference.
