Hey everyone. I’ve been digging through threads trying to nail this issue down. When I switch the house and start battery on, connext boots up and the check engine alarm immediately comes on. First happened when we were out in the water, silenced the alarm, everything ran fine.
My batteries were on their way out, not holding a full charge, liquid very low/some cells completely dry. I thought maybe just a voltage problem, I know these boats are finicky about that.
Replaced batteries, after putting a full charge on them. I had let the boat sit with no juice for 3 days. Made all my connections flip the switches and same thing. Attached is the photo I took of the diagnostic screen.
Weird thing is though, as soon as I start the engines, the alarm goes away, and the diagnostic screen clears out. Also, alarm only comes on if the house and start battery are on. I’ve been doing this all out of the water. Taking the boat out soon to see if getting some water through it will change anything.
Anyone else run into something like this?
I’ve tried the start stop(3x and 5x) procedure to try and clear it. But it’s odd because the alarm quits when the engines start. Thanks, love all the good info on. It’s the first place I go when I have questions.

were you able to find out how to reset the service light once error codes are gone? last time this happened to me, i fixed the problem and error code went away, but I had to pay dealer to connect YDS to turn off Check Engine light.
