My mooring cover is reaching the end of its lifespan and I have a few questions for those with Premium covers.

A) my boat is stored in the driveway during the summer and it already gets 6000 degrees under the grey cover. Has anyone noticed that the black covers are even hotter and had any problems related to this?

B) is there a significant difference in the quality and or lifespan of the premium cover?

Thanks in advance

Not sure about the heat, but the quality is great, and It looks great.

I only have the black cover and, yep, as expected it's a sauna under there. So much so that I was thinking about going to the grey one when this one gives up the ghost to see if it helps. (I do also have the snap cover, which is grey but the material is completely different and much lighter so it does not seem like a fair comparison heat-wise.)

One thought I had was to put a vent in the cover like this: http://www.amazon.com/Vent-Cap-for-Boat-Cover/dp/B00HXITKP8
It just bothers me that it gets so bloody hot and humid in there - can't be good for the electronics and plastics.

I have those type of vents on my custom sunbrella snap-on covers (Color is blue) and they work well. I also feel it is better for when I am trailering the boat with the cover on.

I just replaced my gray cover with a new black cover and its defiantly hotter. The good news is it drys out faster.
