Problem with folding Bimimi top in my 242 2019 SE

HI i just purchased a 2019 242 limited s E, from a boat lot, boat is in great condition. i had it delivered to the marina today and i was trying to fold the bimini tower so they can store it on the rack. Problem is the tower folds but it does not stay in place unless someone is holding it. does any one have the same problem? i saw some old post and they has to tie it down. any other solutions?

Unless you have the transport brackets(used from factory to dealer and sometimes left in boat), tying/strapping is your next choice.

Agree with @Pro Build. If they can’t take you at full 12’ height, use 2 ratchet straps, one for the tower, another to position the Bimini frame. That should get you down just short of 10’. I only have to do this maneuver once a year to get into winter storage, and it’s a pain. You might consider asking for top rack, that way you can keep everything set up. Not sure if they charge a premium for top rack...
