Basically, I to back and forth a lot (when I go boating that is...) between, off, 1, 2, both, and back to off.
On my boat, it is all the way back on the port side with the batteries screwed in boxes to the floor. It works, but very inconvienient.
So, in order to get at the switch, since I don't have hinged seats or anything cool like that, I have to either take off 3 cushions to get at it, or open the engine hatch and then the big rear seat. Very annoying for when you have the kids finally sitting, or if you have a drink in your hand, or well, it's just annoying.
So, I'm toying with moving the switch but a bit perplexed as to where I would put it. Also need to probably move batteries so that adds to the equation, and of course it should all be in a nice dry spot somehow!
As of right now, the only thing I keep under the port side other than batteries is my box of misc. tools and paperwork because it's so annoying to try and get under there. I figure it would be a good side for more permanent things like batteries, but perhaps some of the life jackets that are backups, perhaps one anchor, the extra ropes for watersports that my kids aren't into yet, maybe even the grill that we use on occasion, etc.
Open to ideas!
