Does anyone know how hard it would be to take the tower off of a 250/252 in the fall to store the boat (8 ft garage door) and then put it back on in the spring?
There was another poster who removed his tower to run some wiring in it but it was for a 21' boat. It is similar to the one in ours though. You need to disconnect the anchor light and take the pins at the pivot point out. Held in with "circlips" and then slide the pins out. Even though the tower kinda feels light, it is not a 1 person job.

I don't see why it couldn't be done. Other than the anchor light there isn't anything else on the tower for the AR models. I wouldn't make a habit of it constantly but if its for winter storage then why not.
