Now that my boat is at my cottage sitting on a hoist, I've had a chance to give the trailer a good once-over. Aside from finding a few slightly loose bolts, which is something I've seen noted before on this forum, I also found a lot of rust on the inside of the wheel rims. Does anyone have any tips for removing this rust and preventing future recurrence? The rust is not evenly spread around the inside of the rims, but is concentrated in a 3 or 4 inch long area. I'm guessing that this is probably where water sat pooled for a while when the trailer and boat sat on the dealer's lot all last year. Any advice would be appreciated.
