So I bought a 2014 195 HO, has 22 hours. Did a sea test and ran great except would get kind of bogged down for a few seconds if I gunned it. Sounds like that is pretty normal.
Brought it home (6 hours from place of purchase) and put it in the water. Ran great for the first ten minutes, got it up to around 44 mph with 2 adults, 2 kids in it. Then the wrench icon came on and it wouldn't go more than about 6 mph. Would occiaionally over-rev the engine without me increasing throttle if I went faster than that.
Got it to the dock and shut it off while I got the trailer backed in. Then it wouldn't start at all. The dash screen just set service required or something like that.
I did notice some loose weeds floating on the water while I was running the boat around. Nothing thick or more than a foot long, and the water was deep enough that I wasn't near any weeds on the bottom. When I got the boat out there was one thin weed strand inside the intake grate by the impeller.
Would a little weed like this be enough to cause the problem I had? I dropped it off at a local dealer but who knows how long it'll take for them to look at it. Pretty disappointing though.
I will say the lake where the boat will normally be used has basically no weeds.
