Question:
I have an engine and pump from a total'd scarab, and I found electronics and a gauge cluster from a 2008 Sea Doo 255. My goal is to build out a 15' aluminum boat hull that is powered by the scarab motor and pump (supercharged rotax 250hp), but wondering if I can use electronics from a jet ski with similar engine as a pair. Basically this method would save money, as I have not found a place to order replacement parts for the scarab, seems like it's all done through a dealer and I would be voiding any sort of dealership help with this custom build.

You're going to get very few responses... nobody has done anything like that since Scarabs are pretty new. If there is someone out there, hopefully they respond. But at the very least, your gauge cluster would have to be married to the engine via BUDS software. It won't work otherwise. Assuming it's compatible and can be married, then yes?

Thanks for the response!

Do you know if there is a way to source a matching gauge cluster somewhere ? Or is it all done through dealers? I assume any ECU will have to be swapped too. I’ll give it a try in a few months when I have more time.

All dealers. No way around that to my knowledge.
