For those of you that live in a colder climate when you store the boat away for winter do you take your seat cushions inside? Will they get all moldy if I leave them on the boat? I am getting the boat shrink wrapped.

I put a couple of tubs of Damp rid in the boat and prop the cushions up a little with a cork to allow at least some air flow through the storage compartments and I put dryer sheets in all the compartments to deter critters, but my boat isn't shrink wrapped. Every spring I pick it up and it seems as fresh as when I dropped it off.

Quick tip, if you are in really cold weather, do not step on, lean on or put any weight on them. As they will crack the vinyl. Ask me how I know.

That being said, cold is a relative term. I consider cold to be -30f. Vinyl will not crack at 30 degrees, as some consider that cold.

I take all the removable cushions out and put them in the basement (climate controlled) for the winter.
