This last weekend I got my first overheat warning. It was after going through a weedy river between lakes. I was trying to get to a calmer spot on the lake where I could stop and check the clean outs, so I was watching for the warning. I only saw the blinking light (which isn’t very bright). Is there supposed to be something with sound as well? This is a 2010 sx which I purchased used, so I don’t know what it is supposed to do. The owners manual doesn’t mention more than the weak little light on the tac.
