SportJet 175 v6 Losing power at 1/2 Tank

2001 Tango- Merc SportJet 175 v6
Starts right up, gas tank was filled over winter got down to half a tank and started having performance issues. Pulled it out of lake checked filters, put back in lake started up and performed well. (Quick test). Filled it back to top with gas, went out on lake, as soon as it got back down to 1/2 tank power issues came back. Idles and low RPMs are fine, higher throttle no good, bogs out. Any ideas?
