I picked up my boat but the cover is on back order until the 25th. I need to head back to Chicago on the 14th. Looked all over the place but no luck.

Wondering if anyone has any ideas or if they have the current model cover (as of 18’) that I could borrow and ship back. Would be happy to compensate in some way. It’s a stretch but figured I would ask since this forum has been pretty great.

I would ask the dealer for the shipping cover

I did. It’s gone. What’s the experience with those? He seemed to indicate that they don’t go back on well after their initial use.

Ouch... you should have gotten the shipping cover 100% - they absolutely go back on. Backorder till the 25th is comical IMHO- I don't think anyone is getting a Yamaha cover this summer - I would source a custom cover from a local canvas shop. You don't need the cover to trailer it - just remove front cushions and anything that could get wind lift and store it away. If you must have something to cover - just pick up a universal cover from Amazon or Overton's for a 19 foot boat - they are not great and come with some under hull straps but will suffice.

I used the shipping cover on mine until the custom canvas was done - it was a pain but it worked.

The shipping cover "gone"? It's a large item...I kept mine for possible future winter storage, and used it the first few weeks. I'd be insisting the dealer come up with one, they definitely do go back on, but you have to have the tower lowered. (and would want to secure the tower to do much trailering.)

I did order the factory mooring cover on ebay from this same seller (pwc_parts). It arrived in factory yamaha box, fits perfectly, they are legit:

Check with @JetBoatPilot I ordered cover from them and it shipped quick. You can probably stop by on their store to pick it up if its available.

Edit: Just my personal preference, I tow without boat cover I just make sure there is no loose object that could fly off while i'm towing.

How long have covers been back ordered? I ordered a bow/cockpit cover that was supposed to ship today.

I think it was just the 25’ boat covers that were the issue.
