As I sit here a few beers deep, waiting on the big game to start...my mind wanders. We have never used the swim deck shower and this past summer we noticed the spray nozzle is no longer connected to the hose. So here is my wonderings...

Has anyone removed it and just capped it off? Or can someone sell me on fixing this thing and maybe a solid use for it? 2014 242LS that is used in fresh water and doesn't leave the lake.

If you look at my signature, I have a Google Doc showing all the mods I’ve done on my boat.

I installed an onboard air inflator and put a hose outlet basically where your wash hose goes. Not sure if you could repurpose the same hole or not. And install the pump in the compartment where the water tank is currently. I have a lot of pictures showing my project. We love it for blowing up the tube and inflatable island.

Last year I bought an inflatable SUP and needed a higher pressure pump. So, we didn’t use it as much last year as the previous several. We ended up using the portable pump since I already had it out for the SUP.

That’s a ridiculously good idea. I might have to look into that. We currently just use a Kobalt 24V inflator that works well but having a permanent system is a good idea.

What I did is simply rerouted the hose from the inside and used it with a garden hose to clean the boat when needed; specially after fishing. 5 minutes job, good water pressure and minimal cost.
