I would say the cool 60 degree air had a lot to do with it. during summer I was barely getting 51mph
Ribbon delete is it.
Ribbon delete also helps at low and midrange, it's just more air, and better fuel economy, too.I figured the ribbon delete would add a few mph. I may have to do it now it seem pretty simple thanks for the post! I may have to go @swatski route and add the map tuner to the ribbon delete and see if I can get to 58 mph.

But once you hit the rev limiter, no more gains.
I think you can. Swatski posted some info. Its not cheap though. I think it was $600 per ECU.You have more experience with this than I do but can't I raise the rev limiter with the map tuner? I know I have seen guys on skis getting over 8K rpms on the 1.8 on skis.
Absolutely, most Stage 1 programs are rev limited at 8,350 RPM. That's one of the main advantages of a reflash, and pretty much the only way to gain speed in a N/A 1.8l -- is to spin it faster, as those are very high compression already, and not getting more boost (unlike w/SC).You have more experience with this than I do but can't I raise the rev limiter with the map tuner?
