Anyone ever done runs up the Tennessee River? We're in Central Alabama and looking for some long runs we may be able to do outside of our usual spots close by. Thinking putting in somewhere near Chattanooga and running all the way up through Chickamauga, Hiawassee Wildlife Refuge and all the way to the North end of Watts Bar lake before turning around. Curious if anyone has any insight into water conditions and depths based on time of year if this is even possible to do, or if the river is too low and narrow in spots this late in the year.

You should be good to go thru early October, that's when they start the winter drawdown. Lock thru at Ft. Loudon dam and eat at Calhoun's at Ft. Loudon Marina and fuel up before heading back. That is my home marina.
