Hello All! I'm about to be a new member with an AR195 2020. I have to drive about 4 hours to get it, so I'm trying to make sure I'm set with the trailer hitch ball height. Does anyone here have any idea about what drop I should use with the Ridgeline hitch? Unloaded the bottom of the receiver tube is about 17.25", top is 19.25" (2" receiver tube). If I use a 2" drop hitch I suppose the top of the ball will be around 19.75". If I use a 3 1/4" drop I think it will be around 18.5" to the top of the ball. Then subtract maybe 1 1/2" for compression from tongue weight...

So, can anyone help me with some pointers, advice or knowledge about the best setup. Thank you very much!!!

16-17in to top of ball when loaded is about level on my '17 AR190. My Sierra sagged about 1.5in when hooked up. I would expect a shade more for a Ridgeline (with IRS and coils).

Thank you!

i pull a 2021 AR190 with a 2017 Ridgeline (Gen2) and I just come straight out of the 2" receiver with about a 6 inch extension with a ball mounted on top. The 2021 comes with the round 7 pin connector so it plugs straight in to the connector on the truck. Not sure what they did on the 2020's.

Ok, thanks! So, you don't use any drop down. Does it sit level?

I tow my 2014 AR192 with a stock Gen2 Ridgey and use a similar setup as above - no drop and ball mounted on top. Seems to be a good height for my setup.

It sags a little, but it’s hardly noticeable. It pulls great. Gas mileage loses about 5 mpg and I found it doesn’t really push you around much! You’ll have no issues. Just make sure to take wide turns

Also, don’t get the backend to deep when launching or it will cost you about 700 in emission control repair. Ask me how I found out?. Take a look under the tail, the emission stuff is right next to the tank. It’s fine for launching so Don’t be afraid to get it wet, just not too deep

call your dealer and ask if they have hitch (most of dealer have). Buy it when you are at the location, so if you didnt like how it sits, you can ask to replace and try different configuration.
