Hello,
We are looking to travel from Beaufort, SC to Charleston, SC via the Intercostal. Has anyone made that trip or has some advice or tips for us?
Thank you, John

Shouldn't be too bad of a trip. Places to stop along the way too if you wanted to break it up with an overnight on the way. Hotels/room near marinas can be found at Southport, Myrtle Beach, Georgetown, and others. Keep us posted on your trip.

My eyes started the sparkle... then i realized u were talking about beaufort sc and not nc... beaufort nc to Charleston........ man what a trip..

follow the markers and you will be good its not a bad trip at all. I have not done south of Charleston yet but I have several friends who have they say it great and a fairly easy run.

@waterboy @John Davis is starting in Beaufort, SC not Beaufort, NC so he won't be passing by Southport, Myrtle Beach, Georgetown unless he takes the really long way to Charleston. Funny that the SC and NC Beaufort's aren't that far away from each other but are pronounced differently.

haha, so much for reading closely and me assuming since I live in NC. Forgot about the other one down there!!! not really as we frequent that area quite a bit for long weekends!

I have looked at taking the boat all the way to the other Beaufort. Doesn;t look like too bad of a run. Worst part would be the open water through St Helena Sound, weather dependent.
