I have a 2013 242 Limited S that I am doing my first flush procedure. The Starboard side has a solid and healthy flow from the flush kit to the trusters. The Port side seems to not have enough of the water escaping from the trusters. Some water is coming out of the the intake grates, but compared to the Starboard side the flow seems very weak. I removed the hatch separting the firewall and everything looks connected up well and there are no leaks of the flush line.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I did not run the engine long, shut this down until I get some advice and someone that can look at the rear of the boat and water flow before I start the procedure up again.

Most of the flush water will come out through the exhaust. The engines should receive the same amount of flow. You might verify that there are no kinks in the flush hose.

It happens here and there. Rev it up a cpl times and normaly you will see the water then come out the spout.

Thanks for the quick replies. I revved the engine at a higher RPM and water starting flowing like I expected.

Never saw this behavior on my SX230 but seemed like 15-20 seconds and it was flowing out the exhaust.

All good at this point ... thank you.

Clamping off the line between the Y fitting and the intake grate will force all water through the engine and exhaust.
