Just curious as to why the 165 does not have water temp display but the newer seadoo pwc's have that option. I know there was a few years when they changed to gps speed there was no option to get water temp but the newer models have both (gps speed and water temp) Curious if it would be an easy addition to get this option onto my 165 impulse.
Especially since I have read the larger scarabs have the water temp option.

Wonder the same thing about my chaparral. Similar in many ways to your scarab. Seems the 1 thing it doesn't do is tell me the water temp. Really wish it did.

Engine water temp, or lake/ocean water temp? Seems like most lake water temps come through a depth finder option. Do you have a depth finder on yours?

Although I've got a depth finder without a lake water temp. Now you've got me wanting to upgrade that too ;)

It's mind boggling. My 07 Sea-Doo challenger 180 did. Sea-Doo skis do. My 2012 210SE does not. 40k and no water temp?? Maybe that's why they quit selling boats :P

Water temp, cruise control, ski mode, and depth finder are all modules that BRP sells that you have to place in line with the diagnostic port to unlock these features. Here are a couple of examples...
There is even a module that unlock the GPS as a navagation screen with the use of the medallion touch screen. All plug and play.

Those all seem easy to install. Do you have a link for the water temp option?

@Dsalverda Looks like there is a sensor kit that comes with a T-Tap. It supposedly taps into the Intercooler water inlet, and plugs into the Can system. The issue will be enabling with the B.U.D.S system. Some PWCs will recognize the sensor and unlock it by itself.

So I could install this and if it doesn't recognize it automatically then I could get the dealership make it recognize it through the buds system?
Do you have a link to what to buy?

How do the larger 195 215 or 255 get water temp? Where is the sensor, what is the part for the larger boats? I have tried to look on the parts site of the scarab website with no luck.
