We had a surprisingly large amount of local Yamahas come hang out today on Lake Tuscaloosa. Met a lot of new faces like @Ghinson95 and families along with our usual misfit @Bill D @blacksapphirez @DBamaC gang and we ended up with 8 Yamahas tied up! Contemplated a drinking game of who could make it down the swim platforms the fastest or longest, whichever came first, but figured a trip to the ER would be in order next :D. Naughty Kids were launched off swim platforms. A few guys were flying their drones and of course someone forgot his Wake wedge doh party foul!!

All in all it was an awesome day and these jetboats just bring people together. Stayed out long enough to catch a nice setting sun on the way back to the dock. :winkingthumbsup"

Really a great day. I really think we should work toward a mini-Shelbyville type meeting next summer.

We'll join if you do a mini shelbyville!!

If we do one it would more than likely be on Lake Martin as its a fairly large lake with lots of coves to find a place for ourselves. There's a rock face people like to jump off of called Chimnney Rock and a couple of restaurants on the lake and nearby stuff to do. Water is clear as well. We would have to do it before football season starts as the prices sky rocket since Lake Martin is near Auburn University. There are nice condominiums on the lake with slips but also plenty of lake cabins and houses to rent which is what we usually do. We are having our annual gathering next month 15th-17th so I'm sure there will be plenty of footage to give you guys an idea of the lake and what it has to offer.

We could also do Lewis Smith Lake as its very beautiful there and it's our deepest lake where I saw averages in the 25o ft range. Water is very clear there so if you like diving you can do it. Only problem is some of the lake can get a bit hard to find a cove as its more of a narrow winding lake than large expansive one. I don't know about restaurants on Smith as I don't boat there often but I do know it doesn't offer as many cabins or have condominiums like Martin offers.

Here's some footage I put together...

It is my understanding that Smith Lake does not have many places to eat. (was a dry county). Lake Martin has lots of choices and quite a few of us are there every weekend. :) Nice thing is there are plenty of coves and beaches to hang out in or on.

That's awesome! And cool video too.

Wichita KS would be a hop and a skip your way right?

I've driven to Topeka, KS once for a race event and it wasn't too bad lol

I think it's around 13 1/2 hours from Wichita to Lake Martin (Dadeville, AL).

I was talking to @Bill D about my crew probably heading to Orange Beach next summer and somehow hooking up on the way down. It would be pretty cool if we could all meet up on one of the lakes down there along the way!

Hell yes! With planning Id be there! Live to meet you guys in person.

Looks like you guys had a blast.

Looks like the crew meeting for the weekend at Martin next month have some things to discuss. :winkingthumbsup"
