weak fuel pump access/cover

...At least I think it's my fuel pump access/cover.
Its the 8" round access cover located in the floor, centered near the stern of the boat.
This feels very weak when it's stepped on, and it's right were your foot lands when stepping down into the boat. I want to replace it with something stronger, and am curious what others have done?
