I have a small box anchor, have you guys gotten that to fit in the anchor locker? What other anchors have you guys rigged to fit in the anchor locker?

Fortress fx7. I go to lakes with sandy bottoms, and that anchor works great. Nothing beats my box anchor's holding power, but its heavy and sometimes a pain in the a$$ to put together. The fx7 is so light and easy! I did have to cut 1/4"-1/2" off the shank to make it fit.

I will only use a box anchor for where I boat. Some guys have cut a piece of rebar to hold a folder box anchor in the locker. I'm going to try that when I get my boat in 2 more weeks

I use an FX11 and I cut down the stock so it will fit. Small box anchor is the way to go if you boat in a variety of terrain. I know my lake and danforth is the way to keep the bow for me.

Most of my locations are sandy bottom, there is an occasional weed gras bottom and I do carry the box anchor with me, just in the stern.

I was looking for something easy for the front, that I use most often backing into fairly crowded, sand bars. Dealing with the box is a bit of a pain, although if that is the way to go, I would love my small box to fit in the locker instead of under the seat.

Check out the thread @swatski posted I have fit mine hanging in the anchor locker with a $2 mod that required no work.

We have a sandy bottom lake so I just have a mushroom head anchor. It just sits in the ski locker. We hardly anchor though.
