What is this browning around the engine on a 242 limited s?

Does anyone have an idea what this could be? I am looking at purchasing this boat but am unsure if this motor/engine is in good condition.

You mean on the exhaust manifold? Looks like something got spilled on it, like oil or something, while it was hot. Would not think it would be an issue, if that is what you are looking at. How many hours on the boat?
