@Rana and I have been watching Sailing La Vagabond to keep warm thoughts in our heads over the winter. After exhausting their 50+ episodes and buying a T-Shirt we are now watching Sailing Nandji. We also enjoy Sailing SV Devos which seems to be one of the older players in this business

@ArmyChief and @ACrews are fans of Sailing Miss Lonestar.

I know that @Glen has plans to relocate to a floating home at some point as @Rana and I do when the kids leave for college.

What are your favorite boating video channels?

Sailing lavegabond is probably my favorite. I also follow Gone With The Wynns who used to travel in an RV full time but bought a big catamaran and are going to start sailing the world. Its been fun watching go from RV to the ocean. They do very high quality videos and editing.

Sailing miss lonestar was also one i watched but there has been some recent developments on that channel which are making it a bit tough to watch. The lady who runs the channel said her husband beat her and even showed video of a really big black eye. She has since had the boat repossessed since the hubby wasnt onboard anymore. Just real sad because I know he was struggling with PTSD.

I also like watching the Lazy Geckos. The family is another military family living on a boat full time.

SV Delos, but I also follow Sailing la Vagabond and several others. About 35 years ago I was going to be one of those cruisers, on a 51' Wharram designed Cat but the trip fell apart. At that time I read well over 100 books on cruising. Only recently did I stumble on the youtube videos and have been living vicariously through them ever since. I especially appreciate the at sea segments.

Make sure to check out The Lazy Geckos. Brittany & Jeremiah are fun to follow.

Having the honor of getting to hang out with Rob/Aubrey & Brittany/Jeremiah at the Miami Boat Show this yr was a neat experience. I'm sure @ArmyChief would agree they are exactly who they are in person as they seem to be on camera.

This was mine an @ArmyChief highlight to the YouTube world with Sailing Miss Lonestar & The Lazy Geckos.

For me the best videos have certain characteristics.

1) Good video, not too much shaking, no wind noise.

2) Good and nearly constant narration.

3) Music and voice at good volume levels. Too often the music is too loud.

SV Delos is the master at good videos.

Sailing la Vagabond is good too

Adventure Adrift is rather new but promising

Sailing Nervous is new but promising

Gone with the Wynns is interesting but they haven't really gotten too deep into cruising yet.

Sailing Uma has an interesting couple who have kept costs very low. They installed their own electric propulsion and tossed the engine out.

Sailing Trio is a family of three on a cat

DrakeParagon has years of interesting videos and interviews. It is very different. I like it.

SV Lazy Gecko is good

Chase the Story Sailing is good

Sailing Miss Lone Star was interesting but it fell apart with a pending divorce and repossessed sailboat.

I don't care for single hand cruising videos because I like the interaction between crew members.

I follow... lazy gecko, gone with the wynns, and chase the story.. I was following miss lone star but the recent stuff has made me not so interested... I question some of what was posted recently.. I never approve of violence against a spouse but something rings hollow about her side... not sure... and just like that.. bam.. she is on another sail boat with two guys she doesn't know. But it's hard to tell with a few short min videos every once and a while. It's sad all the way through... some comments question if rob has ptsd and other question why the girl isn't with her kids... it's started out cool but it's kinda fallen off some..

Gone with the wynns and chase the story are my favorite. .. they are directly opposite of each other... the wynns knew nothing about sailing and have been learning.. chase the story are all experienced sailors sailing the globe..

I've been watching Sailing Miss Lonestar for a while, but like previous posters have stated it's beginning to get a little weird and fall apart. If Rob is off at rehab or wherever then why does she still have his dog?
I've been watching The Lazy Geckos for about the same time and I really enjoy them. They seem like the real deal and down to earth.
I started watching Gone with the Wynns when they were starting to shop for a sailboat. They produce high quality videos and are fun to watch. I often wonder how they bought that boat they have and pay for everything though.
I watch S\V Delos too, just not as often.
One of the others that I started watching for the how-to videos is BoatsBeachesandBars. He until recently had a Sea Ray cruiser Very similar to ours. I found it when we were cruiser shopping. It's out of Canada and he would take you on their boating trips during their very short boating season up and down the Severn waterway and the Georgian Bay. Beautiful area! High quality videos and entertaining most of the time.
One last YouTube channel that I enjoy, even though it's not boating related, is Less Junk More Journey. It's a couple in their late 30's with a 2 year old daughter that live and travel full time in a class A motorhome. They have new videos almost daily and are of high quality. We enjoy RVing as much as we do boating so I can relate to a lot of what they do and go through.
I follow a few others, but these are some of my favorites.

Wow, I've been outta the loop so long with Miss Lonestar, I had no idea all that was going on. Once I started planning & prepping for the Bimini trip, I pretty much pulled out of all of them.

Monday never was another one I watch from time to time.
Yes but Monday Never sold their boat and bought a side-car motorcycle. I unsubscribed from Monday Never because my interest is in sailing (although I had two motorcycles in the past three years.)

I still watch them just cause i.like the couple.. he has ties to raleigh where we live.. one day they say they will.move here

They are a great couple. Their cruising videos were pretty good.

After catching up on Miss Lone Star from everyone's comments, I'm thinking it's safe to say that has turned into a train wreck & won't be around much longer.

Trio Travels has pretty good content.

I was reading some of the comments under one of the miss lone star videos. It's seems she gets 750 bucks each time she releases a video from supporters... she will keep releasing them because she seems to have no plans on going home to live with her children. It's like a slow trainwreck.. you just can't look away. And ... if u look at the video where she has a black eye... it looks bad but her eye it's self is perfect.. no redness the eye lids are not swollen so she can't open her eye... it looks bad but not quiet right... it's a train wreck I tell ya!

I haven't watched any of these, and I have been starting to look for boating shows to watch over the winter. Thanks for all of the tips!

I pulled my contributions to them on Patreon many months ago but logged back in to see how much she was at now.

At the time, they were in the mid $700 range. She is already down in the mid $600 now.

Following a dream, I can support 100%, but I don't know of any mother that would unload her kids & load up in a boat & sail on. I'm not trying to pass judgment being that she may be jus tryingto salvage what she started & try to provide for those kids....something jus doesn't smell right tho.
