i hit a stump with my 242x I want to repair with gel coat buy Yamaha doesn't offer color matched gel coat so says parts guy. Does anyone know where or how to get the right color. Thanks
or if you have a few minutes, take the boat down to a local repair shop (not a yamaha, but maybe a jet ski place or somewhere that does fiberglass work). I did that with mine as I worried I couldn't get a perfect black match and for $400 they had me looking 100% brand new. no way to tell anything was even done to the boat. The damaged section in mine was only into the gelcoat (not fiberglass work needed) and about 18 inches in diameter.
