I installed the switch for my air inflator here.

I cram my big 6x10 float in there. I’d always be hitting that switch with the float getting stuff in and out of there. I did consider it, but that’s why I didn’t.

I did, however, install my air pump in there. As far around the side as I could on the small panel that is perpendicular to the sidewall of the boat. Same spot as @Mainah.
 
I fill those back compartments with lifejackets. The hose will b coming through there now. I added speakers on the swim deck without trimming the seats so I can’t put the hose where the 242s have theirs.
