2008 AR210...but I think it applies to all Yamahas of that vintage.

Just snapped the second Whitecap T-Handle latch off in my boat. They both broke at the same place: the plastic at the base of the handle. Has anyone discovered a suitable replacement that is all metal?

TIA!

-Mike

I looked and looked and looked since mid last season. I finally just broke down and bought one last week and installed it yesterday. My stock ones were Whitecap and I couldn’t find anything that seemed to be better. Perko makes some that look identical. I ended up just ordering another Whitecap and it seems most people here did the same from my research.

I too, looked and looked. Can't find anything. However, that being said, you can just buy the cheapest Whitecap/Perko latch you can find (no matter the color). Took about 5 minutes to replace the handle mechanism from the cheap black one I bought to put into my white fixture.
