We were in the Dells area boating July 19th through 23rd 2017. We checked out Lake Delton, the Upper Dells and the Lower Dells. The scenery was great. All areas were pretty good during the week but the weekend was very crowded. There were very few weeds. On the upper and lower dells there are numerous beaches to stop and party/picnic on. All 3 launch sites were all pretty nice with docks and convenient parking. The upper and lower dells boat landings both have fees to launch, less than $10 each. We had to wait in line at the upper dells launch for about 15 minutes. While on Lake Delton you can stop and anchor at the Tommy Barlett Water ski show for free. On both the upper dells and lower dells there are commercial jet boat tours. These boats create a huge wake. Be careful when you first encounter them. Also, when on the river the depth can change quickly so keep an eye on the depth gauge.

Where did you stay? Sounds like you launched each day or did you find a place to stay with a place to keep boat slipped?
