Hello,
I have a 2015 Yamaha 212SS with the twin 1.8L. Doing the oil change the other day, I noticed a connection for what looks like about a .5" breather tube on the right side of each engine. This connection was on the head. There is no tube for it. Doesn't look like it goes to anything as the other breather tubes are hooked up. So I am wondering, if anyone knows what this tube port is. Should it be capped? Didn't see anything in pictures.

Thanks

Riva racing makes a kit.

I don’t see the port in your pic either. I have included a pic showing the open port on the head. I am not looking to modify the breather, just figure out what this is.

Thanks

Does the port go through into the head cover?

No they don’t go through the cover. They are in exactly the spot you show. Except yours doesn’t even have the ports. I wonder if I should put a rubber cap on them. What year is your engines?

Manufacturers date is late 2015.

I wouldn't worry about it if isnt i
Open to the cover

Prolly was supposed to be a Cali Boat “ Emission Nazi”s” or maybe The motors where?

I bought the boat from Florida. I guess it could be emissions. I just saw a YouTube video on a timing chain inspection for a Wave Runner with the SHO and that had the same port. I originally stated incorrectly it was on the head, it is in fact on the valve cover.

It’s open to the compartment. It’s like a breather that was never hooked up. But looks like nothing goes there. You don’t have those ports. Yours is covered which
