Hello I am in East Texas
I have owned several boats -out boards, inboards this is my first jet -first twin engine.
I bought this used with 20 Hours on it .
We have been out a couple times -only about 4 hrs. each time approx.. both times the engine on port side died ?
Once maybe it was cold -
Second time - hit a big wake from another boat came down hard ?
Third time 6000 RPM water was glass no waves -just quit - 0 RPMs ?
Should I be alarmed maybe something is loose ?
It starts right back up runs no problem ?

Other when I pull the boat out water and pull drain plug how much water should come out?
I have about a gallon or more but can't figure out where it comes from .
Open the engine compartment now water bilge pump works etc..
I have crawled all under the boat can't see where any water could get in ?
Is this normal ?

Thanks

May be your clean out hatch is not closed properly or some bad switch that cuts it off.
Just one possibility.

water is coming in usually around the clean out hatch plate around the tubes, very common, or it could be from the front locker drain. Many threads on it here in these forums, you just need to seal them with caulk.

Also sounds Like your clean out hatch is bouncing and triggering the kill switch.

You'll are awesome the hatch latches were broke when bought the boat?
I ordered new ones I forgot about the front locker drain way down in bottom .
Looking in to the kill switch deal now.
Thanks

The latches may not be broke, the there is a kill switch when the clean out port cover is lifted. If it is snug and adjusted the lid bounces a bit and kills your engines.
