Good morning everyone! New to the form here. I’ve been an owner of jet boats since the early 2000s.

I currently have a 2016 Yamaha AR 192 but am looking to upgrade to a new 2024 AR195

The primary use of this boat is for pulling tubers and wake boarders. I have found with my AR192 it performs well if there isn’t to many adults in the boat, and if you stick to two adults on the tube (vs 3)

I have read The AR 195 has some engine upgrades plus, plus an increase of 40 hp plus bigger jets. Am I likely to see much of a noticeable performance improvement between this boat versus my existing AR 192?

The 19ft Boat is perfect for our lake so I am very hesitant to upgrade to a 21 foot or bigger.

Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Robbrou-
I have a 2023 AR195 and love it. It's a 50 mph boat with just my wife and I and minimal gear. The boat is supercharged and rated at 250 HP.
Over the July 4th Holiday, had 8 people on board, (not normal for us), and was cruising at 40 mph with no issues.
I can't attest to your AR 192, but I would be willing to bet you would see other nice improvements with a boat that is 8 years newer.
Good Luck to you !
