I do not see these powering our boats anytime soon but some minituarized versions or even one small one could make an awesome bow thruster. I am glad to see Yamaha innovating in this space.

If they put the prop blades on a swivel and counterweighted them the blades would be more efficient throughout the power curve and would also auto feather at idle or when off to greatly reduce drag saving a lot of fuel.
