Anyone else here follow the supercross series? Weigh in. Who's your favorite for the championship? Will Dungey's consistency win him another title? Reed? Can Canard stay healthy? Anyone?

I love supercross. Just met Canard a few days before Anaheim 1 and he is without question my favorite. He is a man who says what he believes in and doesn't hide it. I just hope he can stay healthy this season and doesn't get dragged down by his "Uncle" Ronnie Mac ;) Dungey does look unstoppable right now though.

I took my daughter to Anaheim 1 this year. It was her first supercross (probably her last) she wasn't that into it :(

Won't be able to go to Anaheim 2. We will be in San Diego for a US Women's vs Ireland soccer match. I just wish the soccer was last week and we could've made the Supercross in SD after the game.

How about you @skrip345 ? Do you attend any of the races too?

We try to make at least one every year. Usually that means St. Louis, its closest, but I did get to go to the one in New York last year. My sister lives in Queens so I visited her and treated her to free tickets. I work for a powersport's dealer so we get great tickets.

I also really like Canard. I think he's a great guy, despite running Hondas! (we sell Yamaha & Suzuki) I certainly think he is championship fast, he just needs to get a full season in first! I cant help but like Dungey. I believe he is also a stand up guy. He catches a lot of flack for being too passive, boring to watch, etc, but you cant argue with his results! The field is deep, who knows what will happen. You guys had a helluva show at A1! How was Peick's beat down live?

A1 was awesome. Unfortunate for Stewart but the "Peick v Freezie" incident really got the crowd going. I had to watch it on tv to realize that they got together more than once.

Canard does have the speed but It's pretty obvious that anybody that trains with Aldon Baker has a leg up on the field right now. Anderson and Dungey just rode through the field while the others wore down a bit.

I like Canard and and have always liked Dungey, I've never been a Reed fan, good rider just turns me off with his attitude during interviews.

I was hoping to see a race come to Austin or somewhere closer to San Antonio, I've been to 2 races in STL several years ago. Love the sport!

I have raced bikes since I was 15 and still at 39 hit hare scrambles all season if anyone rides in the area. Dungey I always Cher for but Reed has always rubbed me wrong. Love the smell of my 2-Smoke....

Old time MX'er here. At 48, I can still lay down a pretty solid flat whip over the triple.

Been following SX for years. Loved the RC, McGrath, Henry, LaRocco, Emig days.

These days, I like Dungey. He's an incredible rider and seems like a pretty laid back guy. And I like seeing the KTM on the podium. I can't stand Stewart.

I raced for several years when I lived in MO, that was about 10 years ago and I still miss it. I sold my dirtbike in 2012 before I moved to FL. I didn't get to ride much the last few years I had it but dang I sure do miss it!
Where I lived in MO I had 5 or 6 nice tracks within about an hour drive, before I got married I was at the track after work on Tuesdays and Thursday's and at least one day on the weekends I either entered a race or was at a track riding.

No, no. Sorry, there should've been a "." Between those too sentences. It seems pretty clear that Ronnie Mack is Jimmy Albertson, sometimes his brother Greg? And sometimes Trey Canard for the riding. But that's just my best guess.

I was gonna say, I always thought Albertson was Ronnie. Most of the filming happens in OK at Canards Ranch.

I always follow the SX series and go to races when possible. Seattle a few years ago and I went to Houston SX last year. Not sure what I will get to this year. We don't get the races televised in Canada so must download them a few hours after the race. I raced the Seattle SX many (many) moons ago in the old Kingdome. Cam.

My wife is from Belle Plain MN and her brother and sister in law live next door to Dungys folks farm and know them well.
I too enjoyed seeing McGrath make Supercross what it is today and have appreciated Dungys style. He gets results.
We have not seen the show come to town for a few years while we get a new stadium built. Hope it to have it return in 2017.

Back in my younger days, I would ride a few times a year with John Dowd and Doug Henry. Henry being from Ct, and Dowdy being from Southern Mass, I would run into them at a MX/SX practice track here in Ct. This 1 track in Rocky Hill (my main track where I paid yearly membership) , I was fast and smooth - well, I thought I was fast - until those 2 would come blowing past me like I was parked. They would show us what fast really looked like. It was a large LOUD cloud of dust. I would pull off and just watch in awe.

Then I got into supermoto - again thinking I was pretty good. Until Henry would again blow past me! Put me in my place!

Both class act guys.

And speaking of Doug Henry - the man is an inspiration!

For those that don't know - Doug Henry is now paralyzed from the waist down. That roll cage around his bike not only protects him if he falls, but also keeps him on the bike. And his rear brake and shifter are relocated to his bars. And he is still fast!

We rode hot and heavy in the 04-08 range. I was a mid to front pack B rider here in MO in the state series. Occasionally on a good weekend I would bump into the top 3, but I never got to that next level of aggression to get to A rider lap times. Not anywhere but at home anyways. Lots of good times. I still occasionally show up at the local track or arenacross when it comes to town.

Man @octavio3311 when I see Doug Henry I think back to the old Terrafirma videos fox put out years ago. I wore those VHS tapes out when I was a kid!

@itsdgm I agree about Aldon, his athletes always seem a cut above. I remember being in the pits right after the 450 main one night, and hanging around the kawi trailer as the riders were coming back from the podium and interviews. Villopoto walked in all depressed and sulky after a 2nd or 3rd place finish. I told him "good ride man" and Aldon immediately said "apparently not good enough!" I thought man what a hard ass, but I guess that's what he's paid to do.

I used to spin some laps at a place called River Valley in Boyd,TX. I was more of an off road rider ( hare scrambles) for you Yankees, any way, I knew the owner of RV and would go out there to work on cornering speed. You know, jump for show, corner for dough. I would be making my way around the track when I would hear the sound of a couple 250 four strokes hauling ass behind me. All of the sudden they would blow by me or sometimes triple over me when I was doing the double on a table top jump and it was freaking amazing how fast they were running. It was Will and Tommy Hahn racing each other. They were out there all the time, so I would do the same thing, just pull off, go back to my truck, pull up a chair and watch.

Anybody remember Josh Demuth?? Crazy ass dude with tattoos all over his body that killed it in Arena Cross? He rode in a few off road series I rode in here in N. TX. He started on the front line in the Pro class and I was near the back in the +30 Intermediate class. On a 10 mile track he would usually get to me and lap me by the end of my 2nd lap. Even though he was an Arenacross rider he was fast as shit in the woods. It was crazy.

Just saw you were in Sedalia, when I rode the most I lived in Sedalia, Kingsville was my favorite track.
Actually it was around '03-'05 when I rode the most I bet we were at a track together at some point. My buddy Jeff Smith did really well in the state series around 2006-2007ish.

Haha small world. My sister used to be married to Jeff. Did you ever visit a private track ten minutes or so west of Sedalia, big brick house, pond, and bottom land mx track?

HOLY CRAP! I've ridden with you at your house! I went there several times with Jeff, was at their wedding in the back yard:). I loved playing tag on the bikes out there!
I had a black Ford Ranger and white enclosed trailer with Mad Crow Racing on the side, I don't remember if I pulled it to your house though.
