Make your own cleanout plug seal lube. Extra rebuild kit links too

Aftermarket kits for the newest version -- F3F-67609-09-00 -- seem to have dried up since Covid, and the price for OEM kits vary wildly. I just purchased 2 sets from Babbitt's online, for $58.09 + $19.99 shipping, for a SET. My shipping notification says there are TWO kits per SET, so that price should cover me for both plugs - we shall see what's delivered to me. $40/ea is far better than the insane $138 that used to be the only option from Amazon. Looking today, 7/23/2025, Amazon has this KIT listed for $40:

Absolutely hate the way they dick around with the descriptions of these things - that Amazon link is for one plug, so you need to buy 2 kits, for a total of $80. Not sure if that's available outside the U.S. For you guys outside the U.S. I suspect a dealer is your only option (if they exist in your country), or perhaps calling a place like Babbitt's directly could get you some info regarding direct shipping to you.

Babbitt's is telling me that the two separate tracking numbers they gave me were for each individual plug.

Their policy is that your order is subject to a 25% restocking fee, and that no refunds will be issued without an RMA #, which must be requested within 30 days. No tax or shipping fees are refunded, which is understandable, but you're advised to ship returns via an insured carrier

All of these costs, with the 25% fee for the cherry on top, means that you will lose money if you choose to return your order for these plugs.

I cannot stress enough what a shit policy this becomes, and the absolute bullshit of charging $60 EACH per plug, and tacking on $20 for shipping.

I will most definitely not be a return buyer to Babbitt's, and will endeavor to never purchase from them again.

I'll finish with saying that if you order from them, buyer beware, and I'd search far and wide to avoid giving them one more cent of my money.
