@Betik great shots, but I'm hoping @Bill D has some footage of what the last group went into.
Before it got dark again, lol.

I am waiting for @Bill D footage too. The word on the street ( or water) was that he captured a 4 seconds of airborne action. At least that is what his accelorometer registered. I heard @Water Girl might have some good strom footage too. I cannot wait to see them. Because so far our footage makes all look as wimps. None of the footage so far looks as bad as it was.

@blacksapphirez did have good Karma. That explains why he got there first.

So painfully slow to convert @Betik.... six files down and like 50 gigs to go. I'm working on it for you all though.

I'd be the first to turn my pansy ass back to Florida.
We sure don't have waves that big in central IL, I know that!! But, man, the pics once you got there. Just awesome! Lol

The videos usually don't give justice to what you actually experience, I was looking at my footage from my crossing in May of similar conditions and it was not that bad on video. We had solid 4'-6' waves and the occasional 8' my buddy boat was 34' and he was worried as well. My footage looks pretty similar to all that is posted thus far. The video @robert843 had of them coming back from the Exumas I think in video 4 maybe showed the best of rough water crossing thus far. The video with the song "Sail" in it. So don't discredit yourself you guys did great for what you encountered and most not ever being in open water, let alone rough water.

I think its around 1:45 mark but it really doesn't look that rough to me I think it was probably 2-3ft with the occasional 4ft wave but that it nothing like what you or the group experienced. The last part Chub to Bimini was flat.

It may just be that is up high that makes its look more so to me than just being closer to water level.

I've always heard @JROD tell stories about getting stuck in the mangroves during low tide. Luckily, I got to witness it first hand this year. hahahaha

@1948Isaac, @Andy S, @robert843, @Hamp, @Lou4
Next time you guys go into mangroves - go with @chris24 as a guide.
Then
lets talk about running in shallow water. LMAO.

I still can not believe what we did there last year - I was in my 190 - we did a good hour of this:

6" draft anyone?

Very nice. We were actually coming back from the Hilton on the way back to Bimini Sands and @JROD went wide left of the channel. He grounded with Trudy on the back in what was ankle deep water at its best. When I got to his ski, in several spots the top of my feet were beginning to show out of the water. He beached it pretty good ;)
