New 2019 FSH

What’s everyone’s opinions on the changes for the 2019 FSH boats? I was looking at the 18’s but was holding out to see if the changes to the 19’s were worth waiting.

Now has 40 gallons of fuel on the 190. Step to the front deck is gone in favor of 210ish style front deck and the weird t-top tubing IMHO.

What changes.....LOL. Outside of Colors and the funky seat backs on the "non jump seats" (which you can't even install on the 2018s) it is the same boat. Oh wait how can I forget, there is hand rails on the T Top now, Major improvement to the boat......ha ha ha ha.

I like my 2016 the best. Vinyl bolsters, flip up seats. I think some of the new design stuff is to save Yamaha money.

Is it just me, or did they rework the Fiberglass on the swim deck/transom? It seems to have different lines...

I'll take my 2016 any day over the new ones... Looks like the t-top doesn't dismantle either for garage storage..don't see any bolts on it... plus I like the small step ups on my front bow...why would those be deleted?

I might wait all together and not even get a FSH now. After reading the issues multiple people are having, I'm seriously thinking about avoiding the headaches. I'm glad I checked here to see the real results.

Dont let a few sporadic reports of issues deter you DankishPlank. While they are unfortunate for the owners, im sure it leaves them feeling less than satisfied with the product. Most often, folks come on these boards in search of info due to issues. People that have no issues rarely come on a forum to boast how great a product is etc...
In the price range, i couldn't see myself getting anything else than an FSH if that was the market i was looking into. I'm not an avid fisherman, heck i rarely fish, but i love the look of a center-console layout over a bow-rider setup.

Heard from the dealer that these (V-buckets) lateral thrusters will also fit the early models and will be available for $174.00 through Yamaha...

The only thing I can see as a major upgrade to the 2019 over the 2018 (which I have) is the back seat rests which I didn't think were gonna be a big deal but now I want them because my wife and kids don't want to sit on the back, they want to hog the captains chair with me.... and the corrosion resistant covering on the jet pump housing on the back. I'm in saltwater 100% of the time so that would have been huge to have that addition to mine. Other than that, the handles on the T Top are a joke. Sure they might be a great but on the T Top poles are fine to grab.

My 2018 210 fsh has the corrosion inhibitor coating. I'll bet yours does too

I like what i see in the photos of the 2019. I'd like to have the one storage door rather then 2 on the front deck along with storage were the steps are on mine. I never use the steps any way. I put the ipilot lateral thrusters on my 2017 190. Do they work yes, but not sure they were worth after the amount of time to install etc... Wish they went on as easily as the video. I love the 210, but to pricey for me. the New 190 looks good, I noticed they moved the later to right side, not sure why. If I was buying one I just be happy it they got rid of all the leaks. Still getting water in my changing area in under the center console, and its not coming form the anchor area.
Like to hear from someone who gets a 2019 on if it has the leaks...

This would be the most telling review/opinion I'd seen so far, from the guy who knows more than anyone else here:

I test drove a new boat with them installed and though I think Lateral Thrusters are marginally better the factory setup is very good. They will do well with it and I doubt you'll hear much complaining about reverse control anymore.

Checked with my dealer this morning, and "according to them" the part is not yet been made available by Yamaha. If anyone else has received any further information on this, please share it.

Should be "available very soon" according to a reliable source from Yamaha. Not sure time line for "very soon", but would assume within next month or two. I was going to purchase the lateral thrusters from jet boat pilot during the group buy, but the price of these are much lower ($174), plus will be OEM so decided to hold off.
