I don't think you are right...I believe that is part of the cable.

The throttle ones are cheap from SeaStar, but these appear to be around $150 each..Can I ask where you bought them? Looks shiny!!

Sloppy? I would think a new cable would cure stiffness/binding or broken cable,
Sloppy I would look at

or check the connection of the cable behind the wheel, I had one cable with the nut backing off causing it to be very sloppy,

I have a small 3D printer and I printed some bushings for the steering nozzle that came out pretty nice. Will try out in the spring. I'll check behind the steering wheel too.

the 06 has 2 different part [HASH=93]#s[/HASH] for port and starboard . Are the lengths 18' and 19'?

I have an 07 sx230. Replaced all my cables. All same size. When I ordered replacements - it was same cable for either side.
