Wow. 195S seems to be a homerun for Yamaha based on comments

Had I not purchased a 2019 SX190 2 yrs ago, it would certainly be a no-brainer for me to purchase on as well. I wanted 2 captain chairs and purchased the SX190 for that reason, the Sx195 did not have enough to justify the difference for me but a tower and 2 captain chairs as well as connext with mapping etc... I would have signed up for that.

Congrats to everyone jumping on these, they will make fantastic boats in the ~20 ft category.

We planned on purchasing the SX190 this year. First new boat in 22 years. We knew this would probably be the last boat we purchase. We made the mistake of going up the model line and felt like the 195S offered a lot of bang for the buck. Running lights, two captains chairs, upgraded connext, flooring, audio, storage and Vortex engine. We take delivery of ours on leap year Feb 29th. That way it will slow down the depreciation since technically leap year occurs once every 4 years...:)

Congrats, we love ours but a bit jealous of the 195S, just don't need to take the depreciation hit the upgrade would require.

We love our 195S! Super good looking boat and none of the crazy graphics. I already added a Magma grill to a second table base mounted on the transom like the 240s. Only thing I can gripe about is cleat placement but that goes for all the 19’ boats. I have ordered but not yet install some PhenderPro fender mounts. The cleats are really not in the best locations for attaching fenders. Other than that, it’s awesome. Marine Mat snap in floor is sweet! Maps on the Connext is great as well.

We purchased some adjustable fender mount clips to address the cleat issue. There are lots to choose from.

Cleats are notoriously sucky for fenders. I use Fender Tender clips.

These are the quick fender mounts I bought. Pretty pricey but I like the speed and ease they provide and clean look.

We were thinking about doing that as well. Where did you put the bracket, and did you reinforce the fiberglass with an aluminum bracket or similar, or not needed?
Maps on the Connext is great as well.
Did you do the free Navionics update online to get detailed maps for your area?

I had the dealer do the bracket before I even picked the boat up. I had them mount it just to the right of the transom stereo remote. That area is pretty stout so I doubt they had to reinforce it. Yamaha sells an adapter mount for the magmas that fits the table leg as well. Get that if you do it. It really looks stock that way. Don’t get the rod holder mount and try to jerry rig it. I bought the mount and extra leg online. I didn’t get the extra leg at first but when you got a hot grill then you can’t use the table so you really need 2 legs. I’m thinking of mounting another leg mount in the bow as well. That would be a nice place to eat as well.

Yup we would want the second leg to let the grill cool.

Stop taking our ideas! The wife mentioned that too.

I've been considering buying the grill, but fabricating something to stick it in the sand. To keep grill out of boat, and no chance of grease spilling inside boat or swim deck

Same here, no grill will ever be on any of our boats. We grill at home or in a campground/park. We typically just pack a cooler or two for a day on the lake. Would prefer to spend more time playing and swimming then prepping food and grilling.

Anyone have a picture of the grill on the stand?

We can't grill on shore (it's usually rocky and heavily wooded), so would like to add something to the boat for eating hot food on the water.

Not my picture. I just goggled it. It attaches just like table does that comes with our yammies. Us 19' owners would need to buy a base plate for swim deck, or bow if wanted on boat.

Dang. After googling info on these units, we've decided not to add a grill - if you forget to empty the drip tray, you get lots of grease all over the place (we get lots of cruisers go by so it's a heavy wake zone sometimes). We also don't want to dump grease into our boating waters, and we have nowhere to "beach" to grill, so for us and our boating areas it's a no go I think. We'll just stick to deviled eggs and sandwiches when on the water - yum-yum.
😀
Now camping with the boat is a whole different scenario...we grill up a storm over a wood fire all the time when camping - shrimp, crab legs, steak, burgers, corn in husk, you name it...yum!
